Citronella Essential Oil

Purely Essential Citronella essential oil is uplifting, refreshing & energising with its delicously aromatic, herbaceous & lemon-like scent. It has long been used for its many benefits for health and wellbeing.

Citronella essential oil is most commonly known as a natural insect repellant for various flying insects including mosquitoes, black flies, fleas, and ticks. It works by masking scents that are attractive to insects so they find it difficult to locate their target to feed.

Suggestions for Use:

For aromatherapy benefits, add 5-10 drops to diffuser, or sufficient amount to oil burner.

Add 4-7 drops to your shower wall for benefits of steam inhalation

Add 15-20 drops to a hot bath to soothe and relax muscles, ease joint pain and inflammation, promote skin health, relieve stress and boost mood. 

Mix 10-20 drops of Citronella essential oil to 1 cup water and 1 cup white vinegar in a spray bottle for a naturally antibacterial cleaning spray.

For a natural room/fabric spray, mix 10-15 drops of citronella essential oil to ½ cup of vodka/witch hazel. Add to 1 cup warm water in a glass spray bottle and shake well before use.

A few drops of Citronella essential oil can be added to your shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and lotions for added benefits.

To make a relaxing and rejuvenating massage oil, mix 3-5 drops of Citronella essential oil in 50ml carrier oil of choice.
