Lemon essential oil has long been used to alleviate stress, anxiety, depression, symptoms of colds and flu, and nausea including morning sickness. It is believed to be useful for keeping asthma under control because inhaling its aroma can help clear the nasal passages and sinuses.
In scientific studies, Lemon essential oil has also shown to energise and boost mood, increase cognitive and neuroprotective function, and enhance memory and attention levels, especially those with Alzheimer’s.
Lemon essential oil is a popular ingredient for DIY cleaning products for its fresh scent and antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal and antiseptic properties.
It is excellent for cleaning metal surfaces, dishes, and clothes. It is also a great disinfectant, commonly used for air fresheners and cleaning surfaces such as butcher’s knives and blocks.

Suggestions for Use:
For aromatherapy benefits, add 5-10 drops to diffuser, or sufficient amount to oil burner.
Add 4-7 drops to your shower wall for benefits of steam inhalation
Add 15-20 drops to a hot bath to soothe and relax muscles, ease joint pain and inflammation, promote skin health, relieve stress and boost mood.
Mix 10-20 drops of Lemon essential oil to 1 tablespoon on Bicarbonate Soda. Add mixture to 1 cup of water and pour into a spray bottle for a natural cleaning spray.
For a natural room/fabric spray, mix 10-15 drops of Lemon essential oil to ½ cup of vodka/witch hazel. Add to 1 cup warm water in a glass spray bottle and shake well before use.
A few drops of Lemon essential oil can be added to your shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and body lotion for added benefits.
Do not ingest.
