The Apricot tree originates from North East Asia and its kernal is the soft part inside the seed of the apricot fruit. Apricot Kernal oil has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. Today, it is also used in a variety of cosmetics and personal care products including soaps, creams, lotions, ointments, balms, body butters, scrubs, bath oils, shampoos and conditioners.
Unlike some oils, Apricot Kernal oil is excellent for skin care because it is readily absorbed, it is non-greasy, has a silky texture and a neutral smell. It can help ease dry skin and help ease conditions like rosacea, psoriasis and eczema. As it has excellent antioxidant properties which have demonstrated to be helpful with premature lines and wrinkles by hydrating and tightening skin. Studies have also shown it can help reduce acne especially when applied at the first signs of a flare up, by reducing the inflammation and it is believed not to clog pores. It will help block the loss of moisture from your skin and the vitamin E will improve skin hydration improve suppleness and elasticity.
This oil is also beneficial for use in hair and scalp as it can strengthen weak hair strands and follicles and ease inflammatory conditions of the scalp like dandruff. It’s perfect as a hair mask or hot oil treatment, and in controlling frizzy unmanageable hair.

Suggestions for Use:
Apply directly to muscles and joints for pain and inflammation relief.
Add 2-5 drops of pure essential oil(s) such as Peppermint, Sandalwood, Kunzea, Cedarwood, Frankincense or Ginger to 50ml Organic Apricot Kernal Oil and apply to muscles and joints for extra pain relieving and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Use it as a face and/or body oil every day after your shower, rubbing it in while the skin is still damp – the fine consistency allows it to absorb easily into the skin leaving a velvety finish.
To nourish and hydrate hair and scalp, massage a small amount into scalp and hair and leave in for about 15 minutes before gently washing out with warm water.
To help control frizzy, unmanageable hair, add a few drops of Organic Apricot Kernal oil to your favourite shampoo and/or conditioner, or by adding a few drops to moist hands and massaging into the hair and scalp.
Massage a small amount of Apricot Kernal oil into hands, nails and cuticles to help heal dry skin and cuticles.
