Purely Essential Tea Tree essential oil is refreshing, energising and invigorating with its sharp, crisp, herbaceous aroma.Â
It is commonly used to reduce inflammation, soothe irritated skin, and has demonstrated to be excellent for treating insect bites, rosacea, acne, dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.
Studies have shown it regulates sebum production, which can be beneficial for managing oily skin and reducing the likelihood of clogged pores that can lead to acne, boils and blemishes. It can also treat fungal infections such as athlete’s foot and ringworm, prevent skin infections and promote wound healing.
Tea Tree has also been shown in studies to be extremely effective against the herpes simplex virus that causes cold sores. It has demonstrated the ability to stop or kill the herpes simplex virus.
Tea tree essential oil has antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
Suggestions for Use:
For aromatherapy benefits, add 5-10 drops to diffuser, or sufficient amount to oil burner.
Add 4-7 drops to your shower wall for benefits of steam inhalation.
Add 15-20 drops to a hot bath to soothe and relax muscles, ease joint pain and inflammation, promote skin health, relieve stress and boost mood.Â
Mix 10-20 drops of Tea Tree essential oil to 1 cup water and 1 cup white vinegar in a spray bottle for a naturally antibacterial cleaning spray.
A few drops of Tea Tree essential oil can be added to your shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and lotions for added benefits.
Add a few drops to a piece of cotton and apply directly to acne, boils or any minor cut or skin condition. Â
